sep. 6 lecture
Starting the lecture with one of my 2010 favorite movies was interesting. "The Inception" by Leonardo DiCaprio is a great movie. Also, in the lecture, we saw few parts of "The Matrix" movie that was made in 1999. Comparing those two movies we could tell how art is not related to one specific time or place. Talking about the reality was fun! At the same time it was kinda embarrassing to me when the professor asked me what do you think after watching the movies and i did not know what to say and was like ummmm! But later discussing the reality in the class was pretty nice, with many nice and good ideas.
In addition, we checked that super big chart of Art, and talked about Caves Art. We mentioned Marcel Ravidat, the french seventeen years old young man who discovered caves in France, how cool!
I cannot wait for next class for the potluck that we will be having!!

The 2nd lecture "3 millions or art in 150 minutes"
The second Art class lecture amazed me! I never thought art had such a very great and old history. although the chart that was shown was super big and kinda confusing, but it showed the history of art. It all started millions of years ago. The ancient art part of the lecture was very interesting. I heard a lot about the pyramids and all that in Egypt, and i always wanted to visit it. The lecture made it even more interesting for me to go and visit the pyramids there some day. Also, the middle and the modern art. The modern art is sort of familiar to many people nowadays, the best example would be Marlin Monroe i guess. At last but not least the renaissance art. Before that lecture i had no interest in Art at all! I would think that Art is all about drawing and painting, which i really suck at. But now i understand that Art has a history that started millions of years ago. It is full of very famous artists and very important names like the Mona lisa by Leonardo da Vince. Also, i never thought the ancients and pyramids are considered kinds of arts. Interesting topics! and now i am even more interested to find out more and more!!
